I don't know that we will get around to doing much gardening in the next few months. But I have a question: If I prune my tomato plant will it come back and produce this spring??? Can anybody answer that for me??
Here is a couple of pics of the poor guy, taken in December. We were shocked to see, at the end of its poor shriveled and dead looking limbs, TWO small tomatoes struggling for dear life. Isn't that funny??
Here is a close up.
Here is our poor little plant. It grew very tall. If I do prune it, how far do I go??? Or do I just throw this guy away and start over??? The fact that it produced in December makes me think there is life to it and that there is a good chance it will revitalize. But I am no gardener for sure. So, any advice is welcome.

I think it can happen. Ryan is the gardening expert so I will have to ask him. HOWEVER our garden is currently lifeless! We haven't touched it since the last of our crop from last year died out.
LOVE YA! Hang in there amazing Pregnant Woman!
I'm not too sure about it coming back, but I think it could. There are times we get tomatos growing from the previous year. ???
I don't know about Texas gardening, but in UT it wouldn't come back. We have seeds that have sprouted from old tomatoes left on the vine. But, we freeze pretty good here... Maybe in Texas you can cut it down, give it some water and see what happens. But I doubt it'll come back. Let me know what happens, I'm curious.
I don't know how different Texas is from Va, but I do not think it will come back. I do container gardening as well and I use fresh plants every year cuz mine look just like that! I had the tomatoe affect too but I like to use new soil, fertilizer and plants at planting time. You can go to the TX coop website and they should know what to do. Jim's father is a master gardener (retired surgeon lol) so I always call him and he tells me to contact the coop cuz he is in New Jersey.
