Birthdays! Part 2:

Here is our pretty princess and her baby sister. She had such a fun filled day. I am exhausted, and all the kids are asleep. She wore her Belle dress ALL DAY LONG. To the grocery store, to Chik-Fil-A, everywhere.

I know these are horribly out of order, but here are all of the girls at the end of the party enjoying some delicious Belle cake:-) and ice cream.

Aubrey enjoying a little more cake long after the party was over. Who needs a plate, right?

All of the girls were thrilled when a very special guest arrived at the party; Belle! She did their make-up, she danced with them, she read them "her" story, she played games with them, and we took each girls picture with her.

We decorated for the party and you would have thought somebody had gotten married. Looked almost like a wedding reception. lol These pretty roses that lined the side walk were actually really fun to make!

My friend, Tawnee, made the cake. It turned out really pretty. Aubrey loved it. The doll is the Belle bath tub doll. Worked PERFECTLY!!!

Belle and Aubrey. (notice her pretty crown off to the side? Belle did a little coronation and crowned Aubrey a princess, but Aubrey was not happy about having the crown on her head!)

The girls all waiting in line to get make up.

The story....(notice Aubrey does have the crown on in this picture.) Belle wasted not time and kept right on top of going from all of the different activities. Aubrey's favorite thing, was the game they played, Dance Freeze. The girls had to dance until Belle turned off the music, then they had to freeze until she started the music again. It was fun.
It turned out to be a fun party for the girls. Aubrey had a special day and was so happy all of her friends could come. It was amazing how attentive they all were to 'Belle'. For having that many kids in the house, it was amazingly calm and quiet! Maybe if I dressed up like a princess my girls would listen to me that nicely:-)
We watched Beauty and the Beast tonight. My kids had never seen it!! Funny, eh? Aubrey just loves all of the princesses.
My friend Stefanie took pictures of all of the happenings of the party, which I am very grateful for. She got way better pics then I did, but I got enough that you can see how the party went.
So, Aubrey turned 4. Brady asked tonight, "is she really only 4?" lol Yes. 4 going on 20!!! Sure do love that little princess of ours!!!!

Birthdays! Part 1

For his birthday this year, I got a babysitter and the two of us went to the planetarium and watched a show, that was cool, but disapointing. Didn't end up being what either one of us expected. But that is okay...we are saving for a telescope and will have our own star shows:-)
We sang happy birthday and went out to eat at CiCi's. I think he only chose CiCi's because we had a coupon for one of the kids to eat free he wanted to use:-) lol Then, we sat around the fire and roasted a marshmallow. Yes, one marshmallow. It was a good day.

32 and Life is Good. Will be even better when we start getting some better sleep around here!!!

Six

Wesley turned six this week! All ready for first grade, counting down the days until he is 7:-) lo
We had a really fun day with Wesley. Brady took the day off work and we spent the day doing whatever Wesley wanted. He wanted his friend, Aden, to spend the day with him, so we picked him up and then we went to Chuck E Cheese. After that, Brady took the kids to the pool while Cali had a nap. The rest of the day was spent hanging out at home and playing on the computer and having nerf gun wars and then for dinner we went to "the restaurant with the chili car", as Wesley called it. Chili's, if you couldn't figure that one out. lol
Last night I was reading the kids books and we were looking at a farm book with animals and talking about the different names of the animal babies. You know, a baby pig is a piglet etc. I asked Aubrey what a baby horse is called and Wesley piped in and said, "a horselet!!!" LOL And just so you know, a baby cow is not a calf, it is a cowlet. LOL
Bummer that our camera battery had exhausted and we had to charge it so the only pics I got of Wes blowing out the candles on his cake, are on the DSi. Dang it!!! I don't have good luck with cameras.

CATCH UP!!!

Ready for the picture show?? Good...

OUR TRIP TO SAN DIEGO WAS A BLAST!!!

Notice how my kids are wearing jackets? lol The weather was perfect...but OUR kids thought it was cold. I can't imagine why?

4th of July was great! Great spot at the fire work show. We watched in 4-D! It got a bit freaky, but was fun.

Wesley with his ribbons and medals...Oh! and his trophies (the blue one is last years). I think it is lame that ALL the kids get trophies. Only my opinion, of course. But heck, where is the motivation to improve? I could really go off, but I won't. If you really want to know how I feel, call me:-) lol
I am proud of Wesley and his improvement this year. He had a fun season and did great with back stroke. He couldn't even do it last year. This year, it was his favorite event. GO WESLEY!

I just tried to download pics, and the battery died on my camera!!! So, let me share a funny Wesley story...(this is not exactly word for word...but you get the jist of the conversation...)

We were driving down the road and Wesley says to me,
Wes: We found a paper from Adam and Steve.
Me: From who?
Wes: Adam and Steve.
Me: Who are they?
Wes: You know, the man that was here all alone a long time ago and then God put Steve here too so Adam wouldn't be all alone.
Me: Oh! You mean, Adam and EVE?
Wes: Yes, them. We found a paper they wrote on at the culd-a-sac, burried in the ground.
Me: Really? How do you know it was from them?
Wes: It had Angles on the paper. Red ones with bow and arrows.
Me: Oh? I think those were probably cupids. (And then I shared with him the legend of cupid and how he shoots his arrows of love into people).
Wes: Oh. Cupid must have shot Adam with his arrow so he would love Eve.
Me: Maybe. Then did he shoot Eve so she'd love Adam?
Wes: No.
Me: I don't think they had paper back then. Maybe it was just paper from a few years ago.
Wes: No. It was from Adam and Eve. Maybe Jesus turned the Gold Plates to paper.
Me: LOL

It was pretty funny.

Will post pics soon........I hope:-)
