Life Changes. And boy has it changed for us. Or at least, for me and the kids:). No more sleeping in, braking up little squabbles between Wes and Aubrey; No more fights over what show to watch for quiet time, or racing to the table to get the "clean spot" for lunch. Hello to being up before the sun to pack school lunch, and actually being awake to kiss my husband good-bye before he leaves to work. Hello to early morning walks around the lake and 9:15 Jazzercise! My favorite part of all of this change, is seeing my son so excited for kindergarten! He is excited to get on the bus each morning; and then I look forward to him coming home so he can tell me about his day. He is so cute to watch. His face lights up as he tells me about the fun things they did and the friends from church and the neighborhood he sees at school. So, it has only been 3 days, but things are going well and Wesley is happy. That makes me happy. Lets pray it continues to be so exciting!!!
Aubrey is now enrolled in a gymnastics class and is doing really well. We needed something for her. She is that middle child feeling left out. The baby gets fussed over all day and then Wesley has been in the spot light, since this is his "big" year starting school. So, now Aubrey has something she can feel good about and looks forward to. I am impressed with how quickly she is catching on.
He wanted to take the bus the first day, which was hard for me to agree to, however how can ya tell the kid no? So, thanks to the great example of a woman from church, we got him on the bus and then we drove up to the school so I could meet Wesley's teacher and see that the bus really would get him to the school:) By the time I got to his classroom, he was there in his seat, coloring! So, I snapped a picture of him, shook his teachers hand, and left. There is something about meeting the teacher that puts a moms mind at ease. Ms. Watson seems like a very kind woman. She is young, and very cute. Good combo for my son. I have heard nothing but good about her, so that makes me happy.
Okay, this is actually the 2nd day of school, but here is Wesley returning home!
I know these are not very good pics. This is Aubrey hanging on one of the bars. They brought their favorite stuffed animals to class this day. They had to hold the doll, in Aubrey's case, between their legs and then swing out and drop it in the yellow bucket. They did all of their normal routines this way; Holding the doll between their legs and doing back somersaults, walking the balance beam, jumping, etc. It was cute.
